Rock Hard Landscape Supply's journey is a true entrepreneurial success story—rooted in passion, perseverance, and grit. Brian Feist began mowing lawns in middle school, gradually growing his business into a full-service landscape installation company. Alongside his wife Andrea, they made the pivotal decision in 2008 to shift from installation to supply, opening their first landscape supply yard. Over the years, Rock Hard expanded from Jordan to Burnsville, then Farmington, and later to Andover, always driven by a desire to better serve the region.
In 2024, Rock Hard Landscape Supply and Patio Town officially joined forces to bring together two respected names in the industry. The merger was a natural evolution—combining decades of experience, family-driven leadership, and shared values. With this union, customers now benefit from a wider selection of products, expanded service areas, and a knowledgeable team committed to delivering the highest level of customer care. From homeowners to contractors, we proudly offer the personalized service of a hometown business with the capacity and resources of a large-scale operation.
Brian & Andrea Feist
Brian turned his lawn-mowing side hustle into a lifelong career. After founding Brian’s Lawn and Landscaping in 1998, his focus shifted from installations to supplying quality materials, and Rock Hard Landscape Supply was born in 2005. Today, you’ll still find Brian hands-on in the yard, producing mulch and staying close to the work he loves.
Andrea grew up in Wyoming and began her career as a teacher before joining Brian full-time in 2010 to help manage and grow the business. She keeps operations running smoothly while balancing life with their four kids—Weston, Carolyn, Garrett, and Colton—and still finds time for gardening, hiking, and trips back home to Wyoming.
Together, Brian and Andrea lead with hard work, humility, and heart. Their hands-on approach and commitment to quality have shaped Rock Hard into a company built on grit, integrity, and genuine connection with its customers and community.
Acquisition of Patio Town
Founded decades ago, Patio Town built a reputation as a trusted source for landscape materials and outdoor solutions. With a legacy rooted in quality and service, its integration into Rock Hard Landscape Supply has preserved its values while expanding its reach.
In 2024, Rock Hard Landscape Supply welcomed the Patio Town team and their long-time customers into its growing family. This transition allowed for increased inventory, more convenient locations, and the great service customers have trusted for years.

Kevin Becker
Originally from the Chicago area, Kevin moved to Minnesota at age 12 and has called it home ever since. After graduating from Lakeville High School, he studied Business and Aviation at St. Cloud State University. Kevin started in the landscape industry as a laborer and quickly worked his way up to foreman before moving into landscape supply, where he spent more than 20 years managing multiple locations and building strong teams and customer relationships along the way.
At Rock Hard, Kevin is the glue that keeps it all together. He’s constantly on the move—supporting staff across every location, solving problems, and making things happen behind the scenes. His leadership, dedication, and steady presence make him an invaluable resource for the team. Simply put, we couldn’t be Rock Hard without him.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time outdoors with friends and family whenever he can.
